It used to be a thing we did. We all had MP3 players, and all our CDs were digitized and downloaded on our players. The CDs worth listening to, at least. People still like to buy physical media today. Some like records, some like CDs, some like cassette tapes, the demand is still there. A lot of people have moved on however, to streaming platforms like Youtube Music and Spotify.
While I still have a substantial CD collection, which I cherish, my days of purchasing physical media have been replaced by the convenience of streaming services. To conserve bandwidth, I will usually download my music playlists to my phone, so I can listen trouble free offline. This is great for day to day activities like the commute, or being in the office, but this doesn’t work well for sports or other outdoor activities, which make carrying a phone around cumbersome and risky.
Hiby has found a solution for this. They make an audio player which is just like a mini android phone, without the camera or phone. This combination works, and works well for me. I’m a YouTube premium subscriber. With this device, I can download my library on YouTube Music to this device and go do things like, exercise, work in the yard, hike/walk/run, etc. and not have to worry about damaging my phone or lugging it around. The sound quality is good on this, the specs are excellent for what you pay, and the connectivity and listening options are plentiful.
