As time has its way with me, and I spend more time noticing the details in the world around me, I’ve grown to appreciate the miracle of nature.  For the time we spend in this realm, we tend to be insulated from the harsh realities of the outside world.  In that harshness, there is true grace.  All the little creatures all around us, manage to survive and in some cases, thrive around the chaos us humans bring to the natural order of things.

Last year, I was blessed to be able to spend the summer with a few groundhogs that adopted my yard and claimed their stake in it.  It was at times hilarious and at times confusing, but never did a day go by that these smart and industrious little creatures find some way to entertain.  Welcome back my little friends, and happy Spring!
